I created a game I like to play called “New Shepard Fairey Mural, Target Advertisement, or Is There Even A Fucking Difference At This Point?” It’s a little like “Fuck, Marry, Kill,” except originality gets fucked and Fairey makes a killing selling “Obey” t-shirts to kids at Target. I don’t know who gets married in this analogy.
Know what? I kinda disagree with this. Do I love the fact that Shepherd Fairey has cashed in by selling Jnco-style jeans with Obey patches on them? No. But do I also think he’s unoriginal? Nope. Sorry.
